As a set designer and teacher I became fascinated with capturing the essence of an environment. As an artist I became aware of the value, and creative possibilities, of giving new life to found objects.

Placing everyday things on miniature scale backgrounds connects the real with the imaginary. Game pieces create a timeless quality, while clocks indicate the passage of time. mirrors engage the viewer in a piece, if ever so briefly.

I enjoy contrasting the natural with the man-made, the crude with the refined and the simple with the complex.

It is my hope that others will also enjoy these characteristics.
